Nonlinear processes in oceanic and atmospheric flows

We are excited to announce a new edition of the workshop "https://www.crm.cat/4th-nonlinear-processes-in-oceanic-and-atmospheric-flows/". This edition will take place at the premises of the Institut de Ciències del Mar, Barcelona, Spain, from 22 to 24 January, 2025.

As in past editions, NLOA 2025 intends to create cross-disciplinary interaction among mathematicians, physicists, oceanographers and atmospheric scientists in a wide sense. It will focus on nonlinear dynamics of atmospheric and oceanic phenomena and it aims to create an international forum where prominent researchers explore timely open problems in ocean and atmospheric sciences, and also investigate the power and impact of mathematics in these areas.

The invited speakers for this edition will be Antonio Celani (TBC), Peter Ditlevsen, Daniele Iudicone, Bernard Legras, Amala Mahadevan (TBC), Verónica Martín-Gómez, Maria Josefina Olascoaga, Ignacio Pisso (TBC), Anna Rubio and Lionel Renault.

Registration and abstract submission

We are accepting both, oral and poster contributions. Abstracts should be submitted using the template that can be downloaded from here. Both, abstract submission and workshop registration, are done through the link below. Notice that it is possible to submit your abstract and pre-register, and finish the payment process in a later date. In that case, please, select the "Reservation" option at the end of the process. Recall that it will be necessary to finish the registration before November 15th for the early registration fee (250€ or 190€ for students) or before January 8th for the late registration fee (300€ or 220€ for students).
