The Fall Workshop on Geometry and Physics
In October 1992, a meeting was organised in Madrid by Alberto Ibort (Dept. of Theoretical Physics, UCM) and Manuel de León (Institute of Mathematics and Fundamental Physics, CSIC) under the name of "Fall Workshop on Differential Geometry and its Applications". It was successful enough to repeat the experience in September 1993, in Barcelona, in a more formal way that included the publication of a proceedings book.
Since then the Fall Workshop has returned each year under a varying name (Geometry and Applications, Geometry and Physics, ...) and place, organised by different groups working in this field. The publication of the proceedings has also been continued.
The aim of these workshops is to enhance and stimulate cooperation between the various teams of researchers working in different fields of Differential Geometry, Applied Mathematics and Physics, and to give an opportunity to young researchers.
