SCL-EG - Linear Control Systems: A Geometric Approach L'activitat del grup s'emmarca en la Teoria de Sistemes, tenint com a distintiu l'ús sistemàtic de tècniques geomètriques. El projecte entrecreua dues línies de treball: els subespais A-invariants i els sistemes bimodals, commutats i multi-agents. Un altre problema a estudiar és el del desacoblament de les pertorbacions de xarxes dinàmiques tractant de dissenyar una realimentació per fer que el sistema de circuit tancat sigui desacoblat on els subespais invariants controlats juguen un paper clau.

BCN SEER - Barcelona Science and Engineering Education Research Group
Since January 2014 we have been working in 4 competitive and 5 non competitive projects related to engineering education that sum up about 200.000 €, plus 4 more competitive projects not related with education.
We present 13 international congress papers and 2 awarded national papers, all related to engineering education, and 5 patents. |

BIOCOM-SC- Biologia computacional i sistemes complexos El grup de recerca BIOCOM-SC sorgeix de la unió de dos grups consolidats anteriors, un centrat en física no lineal i de sistemes complexos i l’altre en simulació de sistemes biològics. El grup resultant aspira a crear sinergies de manera que els coneixements de física bàsica (fluids, materials, sistemes complexos) s’utilitzin per abordar problemes en biociència, des d’aquells d’interès en biomedicina (dinàmica d’ones elèctriques al cor, xarxes neuronals, tuberculosi) a d’altres d’enginyeria de sistemes biològics (simulació de sistemes microbians d’interès agroalimentari i medi ambiental). Per assolir aquest objectiu comptem amb un grup interdisciplinari on a més de físics hi ha matemàtics, enginyers i biòlegs, en col·laboració amb grups de biologia experimental de dins i fora de Catalunya. L’objectiu final és esdevenir un grup de referència en biologia teòrica i computacional capaç de fer el salt des de les idees de física fonamental a problemes d’interès biosanitari o mediambiental. |

GNOM - Group of Numerical Optimization and Modelling The group works on both the numerical optimisation and the modelling of problems that can be solved through optimisation. GOAPI - Grup d'Òptica Aplicada i Processament d'Imatge El grup desenvolupa línies de recerca relacionades amb el processament de la informació òptica continguda en imatges i d'altres aplicacions de l’òptica visible, amb extensió a les bandes espectrals de l’infraroig pròxim i l’ultravioleta. Abasta la formació investigadora d'estudiants de màster i doctorat. Comprèn temes relacionats amb: la imatge (formació, presentació i anàlisi), la visió, el color i el processat amb làser.
