Premi Europeu per a un estudiant FME

Estudiant de matemàtiques guanya el premi de European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry per la millor tesi doctoral en Matemàtica Industrial

The Anile-ECMI prize is awarded every two years by the European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry. It is given to a young researcher for an excellent PhD thesis, in industrial mathematics, successfully submitted at a European university in 2014-2016.

The 2016 Anile-ECMI Prize for Mathematics in Industry was awarded to Dr. Francesc Font Martínez, for his thesis "Beyond the classical Stefan problem". Dr. Font studied at UPC/CRM under the direction of Professor Tim Myers. He graduated Cum Laude from UPC in 2014.

Prof. Tim Myers (chairman of the Master's thesis prize - not the PhD prize) presented the 2016 Anile-ECMI award to Francesc Font Martinez at the ECMI conference in Santiago de Compostela. Also shown is the ECMI president Prof. Dietmar Hömberg.
