The IEC plenary session on September 25 highlighted his excellent teaching and research career, leading the department's Dynamic Systems group, made up of more than thirty researchers. His participation in different international scientific committees is also valued.

The Mapthe Group based in the EEBE has been the winner of a 'Knowledge Industry' grant from the AGAUR, in the Product category, for an amount of €150,000 for the next 18 months. This project is led by Professor María José Jiménez (Principal Researcher) and Professor Enric Monsó (Scientist Entrepreneur).
