Elba García Fialde, Leonardo Grant for her REBORN project

E. García Fialde, a Ramón y Cajal researcher in the department, has received the prestigious 2026 Leonardo Grant for the project “Refined Enumerative Geometry Beyond ORieNtability (REBORN).”
The evaluation committees for the 13th edition of the Leonardo Grants from the BBVA Foundation selected 59 highly innovative projects across a broad range of disciplines in scientific research and cultural creation. These are individual projects developed by professionals at a decisive stage of their careers: researchers and creators between 30 and 45 years old, an intermediate stage in their trajectory with strong growth potential.
In the area of Mathematics, Elba García Fialde won the grant with the project titled “Refined Enumerative Geometry Beyond ORieNtability (REBORN).”
