Department Day 2026

Dear colleagues of the department,

On Monday, July 13, 2026, in the morning, a departmental event organized by the Department of Mathematics will take place at the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics.

In addition to the formal requirement of holding the Department Council, we have organized this event to improve familiarity among all of us. For this reason, we invite you to attend, especially the award recognition and welcome sessions for the new professors of the department, who represent our hope for the future.

The schedule of the event will be:

9:00–10:30
Presentation of the new lecturers / Ramón y Cajal / Beatriz de Galindo fellows who joined the department during the 2025–2026 academic year, where they will give a 5-minute presentation explaining their research.

10:30–11:00
Recognition of department members who received awards during the 2025–2026 academic year.

11:00–12:00
Breakfast break.

12:00–12:30
Recognition of department members who retired during the 2025–2026 academic year.

12:30–14:30
Department Council meeting.
