The ATRAE program grants grants to encourage the incorporation of consolidated talent.
We are pleased to inform you that Professor Umberto Hryniewicz has been awarded an ATRAE grant to be implemented in cooperation with the lab of Geometry and Dynamical Systems at the EPSEB.
His successful application for the ATRAE program, a highly competitive initiative aimed at attracting international research talent of excellence, creates new strategic capabilities within the university system. This program allows the promotion of high-impact research projects and international visibility. For this reason, Professor Hryniewicz's project has been provided with funding of one million euros, intended to strengthen research activity, talent recruitment and the development of new strategic lines at the UPC.
In this context, the grant secured by Professor Hryniewicz decisively strengthens the lines in geometry, dynamics and mathematical physics that are developed at the EPSEB and the UPC, and consolidates the international positioning of the GEOMVAP (Geometry of Varieties and Applications) research group, the Laboratory of Geometry and Dynamic Systems and SYMCREA. It also directly contributes to attracting international talent, strengthening strategic collaborations and attracting large-scale competitive projects.
The grant secured by Professor Hryniewicz through the ATRAE program, with the associated financial support, represents a firm step in the UPC's strategy to consolidate an excellent research ecosystem, with international leadership capacity, sustained scientific impact and institutional return in the medium and long term.
