Colloquium on the History of Technology

ETSEIB hosted the 20th Colloquium on the History of Technology, an academic meeting organized by the History of Science and Technology Group, the Department of Mathematics, the Research Center for the History of Technologyand the UNESCO Chair in Technology and Culture (UPC).

The colloquium brings together specialists from various universities and research centers to reflect on the history of mathematics, engineering and technology, from antiquity to the 20th century. The programincluded presentations on conics, algebra and geometry, the concept of infinity, technical education, optical telegraphy, the steam engine, technical and industrial heritage, as well as the commemorations of 175 years of industrial engineering, within the framework of the ETSEIB anniversary.

The activity was aimed at students, teachers, research staff and all people interested in the history of science, technology and engineering.
